Citadel Framing Contractors provides plan-based wood framing for custom homes, additions, accessory dwelling units, and residential renovations throughout San Antonio, Bexar County, and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. We work primarily as a framing subcontractor for builders and design-build firms, with labor-only proposals available.

Roof Carpentry Matters

Complex residential rooflines depend on accurate layout, structural coordination, and careful attention to truss or rafter placement. Our rough-carpentry scope can include conventional roof framing and roof-related sheathing as called for in the contract documents. Finished roof-covering installation is a separate trade scope.

Labor-Only Framing for Custom Builders

For labor-only scopes, the builder or owner typically provides materials while Citadel supplies the agreed framing labor and field coordination. Before mobilization, the parties define the drawings, material availability, work areas, access, sequencing, and changes to scope. We flag material or drawing discrepancies affecting the framing work as early as practicable.

A Practical Preconstruction Process

  1. Send the project location and available drawings or a brief project description if you don’t have plans yet.

  2. We review the requested carpentry scope and identify material and scope assumptions.

  3. We provide a written proposal defining inclusions, exclusions, and commercial terms.

  4. After award, we coordinate material readiness and mobilization with the project superintendent.
