Framing Bids for Builders
General contractors need framing bids that identify what is being priced—and what is not. Citadel Framing Contractors prepares scope-based proposals with attention to plan sets, assumed responsibilities, coordination requirements, and project-specific execution.
Our Estimating Approach
Review architectural and available structural plans
Define labor scope, areas, and construction assumptions
Identify material-supply and material-handling responsibilities
Note exclusions, allowances, alternates, and unresolved drawing details
Address schedule, access, site constraints, and work sequencing
Document proposed scope changes before added work proceeds
Labor-Only Framing
Our preferred starting point is a labor-only framing package with GC- or owner-supplied materials. We are open to discussing other structures when commercially appropriate, but materials, insurance requirements, payment schedules, retainage, and mobilization are evaluated individually and documented in the agreement.
To Request a Proposal
Send PDF drawing sets and addenda; include structural plans if available.
Identify the project address, area of work, desired mobilization, and bid due date.
Specify whether materials will be supplied by the GC or owner.
Provide site-access restrictions, staging limitations, and known phasing constraints.
Identify who will supply and install engineered trusses, connectors, and specialty framing components.

Builder FAQs
Do you offer labor-only framing?
Yes. We evaluate labor-only residential framing and select commercial metal stud scopes where the general contractor or owner supplies materials. Responsibilities, inclusions, and exclusions are defined in the proposal.
Where do you work?
We serve San Antonio, Bexar County, and surrounding Hill Country communities. Project location, travel, access, and availability are reviewed with each inquiry.
What do you need to prepare a bid?
Send architectural and structural drawings, available specifications and addenda, the project location, framing scope, proposed start date, and bid due date. Tell us which documents are still pending.
Who supplies materials and equipment?
Our primary approach is labor-only framing with materials supplied by the GC or owner. Equipment, deliveries, material handling, site access, and other responsibilities must be confirmed in the written scope.
Does roof framing include roofing?
Our roof framing scope covers structural carpentry such as rafters, truss installation, and related framing specified by the plans. Finished roof coverings are outside that scope unless separately agreed in writing.
How are scheduling and payment terms handled?
Availability is confirmed after scope and plan review. Mobilization, progress payments, material readiness, sequencing, and other project terms are agreed in writing before work begins.
